Getting Dressed Up To Work From Home
I once met someone who was a telemarketer. This person would make sales calls
all day long from home. And, everyday, this person would dress up in a suit and tie
which he said helped him be more productive and feel like a sales person.
Now, this is the extreme case, but still, it is important to be in professional attire when
you work. If you work in your pajamas, you may be less likely to work hard or
more likely to dilly dally all day. But, if you are dressed as you would be if you are
at a job, you may be more likely to focus on work. Plus, by being dressed up, you
will be more likely to meet a client or a friend for lunch. Its good to get out of the house
during the day, and it helps to meet a client face to face - and when you are
wearing normal work attire, you will be more likely to go out and meet someone
face to face.
Give it a try - see if you are more productive. If you aren't - you can always go back to the pajamas!
