Your Time Is Money
Lets say for example that you are an entrepreneur making $100,000 per year. If you work a 40 hour work week, and work 48 weeks per year
that means in essence you make about $52 per hour. If you have confidence in yourself and your business, you should then
be confident that your time is money. So, if you waist 4 hours working on something that is only going to make you $20, and
that doesn't have any growth potential -
you may be doing more harm than good. Because, in that 4 hours, if you spent that time on your main business, you can create more
value. Remember, we calculate a $100,000 salary to $52 per hour. While this is obviously not an exact science, you have to
realize that your time is one of the most valuable assets your business has. Any time you spend on something without potential,
you could be hurting your business by not putting your time into something with more potential.
So, you should always have a good idea of how much you are making per hour. This figure, can give you the confidence to toss
away those low potential jobs low potential projects or low paying jobs. Because, at the end of the day, your business
needs you - and if you spread yourself too thin, or waist time on un-important initiatives, you are going to limit your businesses
true potential.
