15:09:50 [kaygreen] your recruits will want to know you are doing the business well - although I find new recruits can usually recruit a couple right of the bat from their enthusiasm

15:10:21 [kaygreen] Before I started my rep program I had to be selling the products in all the ways I wanted to teach my reps to sell

15:25:01 [kaygreen] and remember you will have lots that asks questions that say no thank you - that is ok and expected

15:31:43 [kaygreen] I create a letter of r each thing and keep it in my drafts folder for email so I can copy and paste as needed

15:32:06 [kaygreen] recruiting is about numbers. Only about 25% will stick around after they join

15:32:21 [kaygreen] I find almost 50% join then do nothing and are dropped

15:32:37 [kaygreen] 25% work at it a bit then decide it is work imagine that

15:32:57 [kaygreen] so recruit 4 to keep 1

15:33:15 [Marcy453] so are you saying it's more important to just sign up anyone who seems interested than to sort of pick and choose who you sign up based on how interested they really are (does this fit into that prejudge category?!?!?)

15:33:57 [kaygreen] yes - do not prejudge - I have had those come in who sounded so gung ho then just did nothing. I had others who seems so-so who really ended up working

15:34:05 [Marcy453] I wander if those that don't stick with it have a good up line rep to help...do you think that has much to do with it?

15:34:26 [kaygreen] I think a good up line is only a small part

15:34:35 [Marcy453] not everyone is self-motivating

15:34:43 [kaygreen] I give really good training and information to my reps - I still loose 75%

15:34:53 [Marcy453] it's really easy to feel overwhelmed at first

15:34:57 [kaygreen] holding their hand thru the beginning definitely does help

15:35:32 [kaygreen] but ultimately it's up to them whether they will pickup the phone and make the contacts to run their business

15:35:36 [Angela] I think lots of people come in as reps thinking the grass is greener on the other side and when it isn't they are off to the next opportunity

15:36:06 [kaygreen] that is where it stops - those who do the contacts each day to build their business succeed - those who do not make the contacts will not stay

15:36:33 [kaygreen] Angela so very true - if you pick any company and stay and WORK it for the long haul you will succeed

15:36:56 [kaygreen] I know reps is PC who have done great and others who said it would not sell - I personally had a $500 party with PC

15:37:30 [kaygreen] Marcy I have a few doing well - they are not posting a lot because they are working

15:41:04 [kaygreen] the daily contacts are what will make or break any business owner - for each of you

15:41:29 [kaygreen] remember though that recruiting is only one part of your business

15:41:51 [kaygreen] selling needs to be your primary focus - when you sell ask for recruits and your team will build up naturally

15:42:13 [kaygreen] every day find a new place to get your business in front of people

15:42:34 [kaygreen] I find I can not reply on others to build my business

15:43:04 [Marcy453] I'm trying to figure out now how to get in touch with people about baby fairs and craft shows

15:43:14 [Angela] Selling is the main part because most companies will not pay commission on the down line unless you have certain sales yourself

15:43:19 [kaygreen] I personally sold more retail the last 2 months then the total of wholesale rep orders all together - I can not rely on the rep team to build my business. I build my business, recruiting as I go and the combination of both builds my profits

15:44:03 [kaygreen] my reps have to order $50 wholesale each month to get the 5% recruit commissions. Other companies require $400 or more each month personally to get recruit commissions

15:44:33 [kaygreen] check with event centers in your area, babies R us, chamber of commerce, fair grounds, expo centers

15:45:06 [kaygreen] once you start doing a fee fairs you get in the circuit and then hear about the other events from the vendors you meet

15:45:51 [kaygreen] making the contacts for business every day

15:52:51 [kaygreen] help them see how the gain from joining it - not how you gain if they join

15:53:30 [kaygreen] their first question is usually some form of "What's in it for me?"

15:55:45 [kaygreen] also they are more likely to join under someone doing the business well - they want to know that others can be successful
